I’m very pleased to have been selected for the UK team for the World Photographic Cup 2015 competition.
The WPC was founded by The Federation of European Photographers (FEP) and Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and each year receives entries from many countries around the world, including Australia, USA, Canada, Japan and of course the United Kingdom.
The official National Photographic Team for the UK is:
Chris Harper, Nick Cavanagh, Paul Coghlin, Bryn Griffiths, Lisa Visser, Steve Walton, Michael Wharley, David Wheeler and Kevin Wilson.
From the WPC press release:
“Photography is a language with many dialects and interpretations. It is a visual language that transcends cultural differences and assists in a better understanding of the unique perceptions of the world we live in.
The image submissions will be judged by an international panel of 15 esteemed photographers ensuring that the judging reflects the highest photographic standards without bias of any kind.
The World Photographic Cup was conceived and launched by FEP (Federation of European photographers) and PPA (Professional Photographers of America) as a vehicle to globally share photographic style, encourage image excellence and create friendships across a diverse cultural environment.
FEP represents 33 member associations in 29 European Countries and is the leading European Body for Professional Photographers. PPA is North America’s largest photographic association and represents Professional Photographers from America and beyond.”
The competition results will be announced during February.
