New Work: Abstraction 2020 (Mixed Media)

What a strange year 2020 is turning out to be.

As we all navigate our way through this very worrying time, we have to find ways of dealing with a situation we could not have envisaged just a few short months ago. I had several new projects planned for this year, so when we were instructed to lockdown here in the UK in March, I had to have a radical re-think.

For many artists, this period will have been a time to reflect and to plan for a alternative future, but it also presents an opportunity to stretch ourselves creatively and to try new things.

I have always been very interested in the genre of abstraction and have recently been experimenting with mixed media abstracts during the lockdown. Free-flowing, colourful and highly abstract, they are certainly a departure from my usual style! Each one is highly detailed and so I am making them available as large prints, some of them up to 60 inches on their longest edge.

I have deliberately not named the prints with anything descriptive, so the viewer is able to see what they want to see in them.

Enjoy having a browse through the series and please let me know if you are interested in adding any of these to your art collection. We are offering 15% off the new series for a limited time - enter code ABSTRACT15 at the checkout.

I hope you all stay fit and well.

Best wishes
