Colourful Floral Artwork - Pale Pink Dahlias
As the days grow darker and we head into winter, I have noticed an increased interest in some of my lighter, more colourful works. A pop of colour around the house is bound to lift the spirits and images from nature seem evermore relevant and important at this time.
These three prints are Pale Pink Dahlia I, II & III and are available as both small and large prints, up to 50 inches / 127 cms on the long side. They are part of my colourful floral series ‘Chroma’. My thoughts about the series are here, and my inspiration was this:
“Creating brightly coloured artwork is a bit of a departure for me, but I wanted to work on a project that would allow people to escape for a moment from the seriousness of our modern world, into a joyful, colourful place. I started work on this floral art series in 2014, and as the world has become even more chaotic, I think surrounding ourselves with reminders of the beauty of nature, and artwork that uplifts and energises us, becomes even more important as an antidote to the strange and challenging times we are living through.”
