Blue Parrot Tulips - Limited Edition Prints

This triptych of Blue Parrot Tulips is from my Bloom series, which I really enjoyed creating. The minimalist composition of the photographs helps to draw the eye to the changing shades and incredible detail in the flowers. Tulips are one of my favourite flowers to photograph as their shapes change so dramatically in the space of just a few days. This particular type of parrot tulip has plenty of very fine detail, which I worked to draw out using careful lighting to create the painterly feel of the studies.

As well as tulips, the Bloom series also includes lilies and dahlias. These limited edition floral prints range in size up to 50 inches and editions run to just ten for the smaller sizes or seven for the two larger sizes.
